Session 1: Beginning - Advanced

Instructor: Aria Finch
Eight-week classes are offered for adults for the exploration of the clay medium in the winter spring, and fall. The clay studio is well-equipped for both hand-building and wheel-throwing. First-time students are always welcome and are provided with a series of hand-building projects to develop confidence in the medium over time.
Winter clay classes will continue studying the work of Andy Nasisse. We will build sculptural forms involving texture and low fire glazes.
Sessions 1-3 are taught by Aria Finch and Session 4 is taught by Michael Beitz. All sessions include additional open studio time. Clay and tools are available for purchase.
About the Instructor:
Aria Finch holds a BA from the University of Texas at El Paso and has attended graduate school at North Texas State University and Texas Women's University. She a 2013 recipient of the New Mexico Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts. in 2009, her work was chosen for the 5th World Ceramics Biennale in South Korea. She has manages the Roswell Museum ceramics program since 1979
